Today, to me, feels like one of those days when there is so much to be done - yet nothing seems do-able or like it wants to be done.... All week I have felt like this but not quite to this extent. So many preparations for the big market opening, things to buy, paint, clean, perfect, bake, freeze, pick, get made, find... It is hard to plan a day around so many minor, but key, activities.
Any way we have now been told that it is not a matter of a curt nod in our direction, it is more like paperwork submitted to the entire commity as a whole, who only meet on the first Tuesday of every month. In short - no market for Tess until 8th of November.

My mental Pros and Cons list is not worthy of typing but obviously had to come out with a Pro result considering all circumstances.
However, since I had planned for today to be a kitchen day - into the kitchen I hopped at 8:30am. I made and froze a batch of Sweet Puff Pastry and managed to turn out some pretty cute little Rhubarb Financiers...

Wow Tess your pastries look fantastic! the Portuguese custard tarts look very authentic.
