My first absence

My cousin was married last weekend. Had it been on a Saturday I would of been just fine to do that market and over-come my tiredness for the festivities. But being on a Friday, my prep and to-bed-early day... it just wasn't really plausable. It felt very strange not going to market, or planning market, or stressing about market etc etc etc.
However I did do a small amount of baking for cousins pre-wedding brunch while they were beautifying.

(Box artwork done by my sister)
There were four bridesmaids and one bride, this was a double layered box.

It took me a long time to try and devise a way to make ten portions out of 3 options and decided they could just have 12.

It always seems to me that smaller bakes turn out better, probably because I get more creative, always end up with excess pastry - therefore roll thicker. Pretty icing I think is a nice touch.
My family always thinks I'm great anyway... aren't they sweet.
I will be baking this weekend but not the next as it is my brothers wedding in Wellington.
