I had a busy outdoor working day today, very busy, and I was amazed by the cuteness of baby fruits - they're everywhere. In fact the orchard looked gorgeous all over in the afternoon sun.
I went a little bit macro nuts but there are some good photos...
Beautiful Opium Poppies :
Artichokes : It took us a while to discover a way to cook them - I steam them in water with lemon and salt, quarter them and fry them in olive oil, balsamic vinegar and a selection of herbs. Still a bit fiddley to eat but thats half the fun.
Plums : yummy looking little red ones - which Jasper just told me are actually defective plums, runts as it were.
Baby Apples :
Mullberry Tree : I've only just discovered that these are actually really delicious. I'm making some Mullberry jam tonight in fact...

What pretty pictures! and how sweet and delicious they look! Sad about the poor little retards! Maybe we should call the early decorative bounty instead.
Can't wait for opening market pictures!!!
