I'm here, I hope you saw me.

The entire week I had an uneasy feeling, doing all my final trials and pratises - I felt sure I was constantly forgetting something.
Friday was entirely stressfull but I started early and had all my prep done by 4pm (which was a great relief because I then had to construct a Croquembouche for 'fatherinlaws' 60th birthday party, just some more stress).
The only thing that I left until late Friday night was to roll out my pastry and shape it. For me this is quite an achievement because I have a, heriditary, procrastination issue.

Saturday morning I was up at 3:30am (having gone to bed a about 11:30pm) I was a little disorientated for a while but by 4:00am I was dressed ready and in the kitchen.
That morning I felt quite proud of my prep efforts th day before because all I really had to do was a small amount of assembly and then baking.
Everything turned out so well, it was such a relief - I knew I was just catastrophising but one can fool oneself into believing anything.
I was all ready by 7:00am, plenty of time for breakfast, coffee and final preparations.

I had an unfortunate camera-battery-malfunction issue... these photos were taken by my Aunty Gay. She was at the market very promptly to be my paparazzi but still I had already sold quite a few little pastries.

I was entirely thrilled with my first market day - to those who are looking at this blog now because you made a purchase from me and received a wee thank you card - thank you, again, and welcome to the inner workings of the Olio Organics kitchen.

Please send me some comments and advice relating to your experience this weekend as part of my opening Saturday. Really made my day, week, month and I'll be back next weekend - and the next. Feel free to give me a wave and a Hello Tess...

Nice work sister! Your stand looked very pretty indeed and I'm sure you will have lots of people come back for more! Cool that you invited your customers to the blog, that is a very nice idea. I was thinking of you guys before as I bought some organic oranges at the supermarket the other day. They were very taggy and scummy looking but actually quite nice when I had one. the are Valencias so not the same at all really but not as nice as your ones!
